Hot Coco - Vegan Style
What goes great with a cold winter day, besides warm pajamas and a good movie? Yes, Hot Coco. Here is the perfect blend of vegan chocolate and vegan whipped cream.
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup pure cane sugar
3 cups of nondiary milk (I like to use vanilla flavor, but use your favorite nondairy milk)
1/8 teaspoon salt (trust me)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
favorite vegan whipped cream
In a bowl, mix the cocoa, cane sugar, and salt. Pour milk into a medium saucepan and whisk in the cocoa mixture, make sure the ingredients are well combined. Bring the milk to a simmer over medium high heat.
Once all ingredients are well mixed, removed from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the coco into 4 cups and add your favorite non diary whipped topping.
